How to stay anonymous
  • You don’t have to give your name. Leave the name and contact boxes blank, or sign your email with anything you like.
  • If you want us to be able to write back without knowing who you are, make a free throwaway email account just for this and use that.
  • Don’t send from a work computer, work phone or work email account.
  • Remove your name from documents and photos before you send them if it appears in them.

We will not publish your name, or anything that identifies you, without your permission. We check every tip against public records or other sources before we report it.
