Reporting to the Director of Recruitment and working collaboratively with the Transfer Academic Advisor and New Student Financial Aid team, this position manages an assigned pool of prospective transfer students from inquiry through enrollment.<br><br>The Transfer Admissions Counselor serves as a primary point of contact for prospective transfer students and their families, providing personalized communication, support, and encouragement throughout the admissions and enrollment process. The counselor helps students navigate admissions requirements, financial aid, campus visits, and enrollment next steps while connecting students with the Transfer Academic Advisor for transfer credit, degree planning, and other academic advising needs.<ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Serve as a primary point of contact for an assigned pool of prospective transfer students and their families, providing personalized communication and recruitment support from inquiry through enrollment.</li><li>Guide transfer students through the admissions process, including application requirements, required documentation, admission decisions, and enrollment next steps.</li><li>Support and collaborate with the Director of Recruitment in executing the university’s overall transfer recruitment strategy.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the Transfer Academic Advisor to ensure prospective and deposited transfer students receive timely academic advising, transfer credit information, and degree-planning support.</li><li>Help students understand the transfer credit evaluation process and connect them with the Transfer Academic Advisor for individual course scheduling.</li><li>Partner with the New Student Financial Aid team to guide students through financial aid and scholarship processes and connect students with appropriate financial aid resources.</li><li>Represent Olivet at transfer fairs, community college visits, and other recruitment events and develop relationships with prospective students and transfer partners.</li><li>Assist with the coordination and execution of transfer-specific campus visits, recruitment events, yield initiatives, and communication campaigns.</li><li>Maintain accurate records in the university’s CRM system, tracking student progress, communication, recruitment activity, and enrollment outcomes for assigned students.</li><li>Provide a welcoming and professional experience for all prospective students and their families, ensuring alignment with Olivet’s mission and values.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Recruitment or the Executive Director of Traditional Enrollment.</li></ol><br><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br>None.<ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>A lifestyle in agreement with the <a href="http://www.olivet.edu/lifestyle-covenant/">ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant</a>.</li><li>Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and partners.</li><li>Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>A motivated and proactive individual who demonstrates initiative and teamwork.</li><li>Commitment to the mission of Olivet Nazarene University and enthusiasm for Christian higher education.</li></ol><strong>EDUCATION</strong><br>Bachelor’s degree required. <br><br><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong><br>This position will be on the main campus in our Admissions building, located in Bourbonnais, IL. <br><br><strong>SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION</strong><br>The annual salart for this position will be $38,760.00. Additional considerations may be made for relevant experience and educational background.
