Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits are competitive.<strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>Teach core economic courses and finance courses. </li><li>University service, including advising and mentoring students, supervising professional certifications, advising students organizations, meeting with prospective students, and serving on university committees. </li><li>Support of the program’s continuous quality improvements, assessment, and professional certification activities.</li><li>Scholarly research, finance or economics education initiatives, consulting, grant writing, mission projects, and presenting at technical conferences are encouraged.</li><li>The ideal candidate may also contribute to professional finance certifications.</li></ol><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED</strong><br><ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt;"><li>A lifestyle in agreement with the <a href="http://www.olivet.edu/lifestyle-covenant/" data-uw-rm-brl="PR" data-uw-original-href="http://www.olivet.edu/lifestyle-covenant/">ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant</a>.</li><li>A passion for teaching and support of Olivet’s mission are essential.</li><li>Professional practice and/or industry experience are highly desirable.</li><li>Should be able to articulate the integration of the Christian faith and economic & finance practices.</li></ol><strong>EDUCATION</strong><br>A master’s degree in business, economics or finance is required. Professional licensure in finance and/or an earned PhD in finance, economics or business-related field is preferred.<br><br><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong><br>The School of Business is located on the main floor of the Weber Center, on the main campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.<br>Olivet offers the Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Business Administration, Econ & Finance, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Marketing and Management Information Systems.<br>Olivet Nazarene University operates under the auspices of the Church of the Nazarene and reserved the right to prefer employees based on religion (Title VII, Section 702-703, U.S. Civil Rights Act of 1964).
