The faculty position is on ground with classes taught on the main campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL. Faculty Rank is established based on education and professional experience.<ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Teaching undergraduate courses in the Criminal Justice Program.</li><li>Other course assignments and community outreach activities.</li><li>Departmental responsibilities include, but are not limited to, academic advising and student recruitment and engagement activities.</li></ol><em> </em><br><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br>Academic advising of bachelor’s level students.<ol style="margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>A lifestyle in agreement with the <a href="http://www.olivet.edu/lifestyle-covenant/">ONU Statement of Mission, Faith, and Lifestyle Covenant</a>.</li><li>Professional education and experience in the Criminal Justice field.</li><li>Ability to combine educational background, professional experience, relevant teaching experience, and a strong commitment to the Christian faith.</li></ol><strong>EDUCATION</strong><br>A Master’s degree is required. A Doctoral degree (or near completion) is preferred. Degrees in Criminal Justice or related fields such as Criminology, Corrections, or Law Enforcement are preferred.<br><br><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong><br>Nine-month contract: August-May. Salary commensurate with education and professional experience. Office located on the main campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois.<br><br><strong>SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION</strong><br>The salary range for this position is $48,000 – $88,000. This is based on the current Faculty salary grid.
